PROVIDENCE, RI – The Bilingual Poetry festival is launching the community arm of its festival when Soldiers of Life, the AS220 Criss Cross Orchestra and Carolina Diaz perform at AS220 this Thursday, April 12. Expect a dance party all night with poetry to describe the mood instead of the musicians.

Performances continue on Friday at Rhode Island College with poets/performers Agus Lele, Gina Rodriguez-Drix, QueenMah Love, an open mic and other special guests at a free event that includes food and directly follows the Diversity is a Way of L.I.F.E. conference.

On Saturday, April 14, youth and adults are invited to participate in a free Spoken Word Poetry workshop with la Dominicana, Sussy Santana.  And don’t forget to start spreading the word about next Thursday, April 19 at Bienvenida Latin Grill!! The 19th will be a night called “Poemas y Platanos” and it will feature performances by Sheyla Rivera, Carolina Major Diaz, and Jesus Andujar.
