Forgiveness. Sometimes it is an attitude you want directed your way, and sometimes it is a force that has to take shape within. Today, I dug in, to muster forgiveness after a week that contained very little dancing despite the countless benefits I’ve reaped from its inclusion. As I feel old habits and familiar folds try to take shape, I forgive myself for not getting it all right all the time. Tonight I dance because if I failed to forgive my best friend, I would be stuck, motionless, but full of negativity. Tonight I dance as an act of loving myself, flaws and all, forgiveness on fleek (or whatever the kids say these days). Sunshine and laughter. – Reza Rites
